The Golden Circle, the dramatic South Coast, the lava waterfalls of West Iceland, and the geothermal Reykjanes Peninsula — all within reach of Reykjavik, all without the hassle of moving between hotels every night.
Land at Keflavik Airport, pick up your rental car, and drive into Reykjavik. Spend the afternoon exploring the capital on foot — the harbour, Harpa Concert Hall, the Sun Voyager sculpture, and the colourful streets of the old town. Tonight is your first of four nights in Reykjavik.
Head west into a lesser-visited corner of Iceland. Hike to Glymur, one of Iceland's tallest waterfalls, tucked deep inside a dramatic canyon. Continue to Hraunfossar — where crystal-clear springs emerge from beneath a lava field and cascade into the Hvítá river in a curtain of water unlike anything else in Iceland. Return to Reykjavik in the evening.
Iceland's classic route — three of the country's most iconic natural wonders in a single day. Þingvellir National Park (UNESCO) where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Strokkur at Geysir erupts every few minutes. Gullfoss "Golden Waterfall" thundering into a rugged canyon in two dramatic tiers.
Walk behind the curtain of Seljalandsfoss, stand at the base of the mighty Skógafoss, and cross the black volcanic sands of Reynisfjara beach with the Atlantic crashing beside you. Pass beneath the shadow of Eyjafjallajökull — the volcano that halted European air travel in 2010 — and explore the charming village of Vík before heading back to Reykjavik.
On your final morning, drive the Reykjanes Peninsula — a raw, otherworldly landscape of steaming lava fields, geothermal vents, and rugged coastline. End with a soak in the iconic Blue Lagoon before returning your car at Keflavik Airport and flying home.

Self-drive packages include accommodation and car rental. Payment is processed in euros (€) via Visa or MasterCard.

Another Iceland acts as a facilitator between the renter and the vehicle supplier. The supplier holds sole responsibility for fulfilling the rental agreement.
Accommodations in Iceland are clean and well-maintained, though rooms tend to be more compact than typical European or North American standards — this is part of the authentic Icelandic experience.
