Additionally, there are other intriguing sites crater Creed and waterfall Faxi and wind up the day at Hella.
Take a walk along the scenic south coast stretching across the mountains through the sloping coastline at the mouth of the river. You will find the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and enjoy the view of its cascade from both the front and back as its rock formation has created a track hence you can walk behind the fall. Its symbol is a pyramid-shaped volcano, the Keilir quite easy to spot while driving from Reykjavik into the peninsula. The clash of the tectonic plates in the region has caused a ‘hotspot’ of geothermal activity. Along the way from Krysuvik, visit the intercontinental bridge connecting the two tectonic plates of America and Eurasia. Blue Lagoon, the most famous site in Reykjanes is close to the power plant.
