About the Tour
The Vatnajökull glacier snowmobile tours are operated by Glacier Jeeps, with daily departures from Vagnsstaðir Hostel at 9:30 and 14:00 (March to October).
Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license to operate the snowmobile (passengers do not require a license). The meeting point is about 54 km west of Höfn or 27 km east of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
The tour lasts 3 hours, including 1 hour on the glacier (with jeep transfer to and from the glacier). Two participants share one snowmobile, with an option to pay extra for a solo ride.
What to Wear and Bring
Dress according to the weather. We recommend warm clothing and a waterproof outer layer for rainy days. Sunglasses are also advised. There is no age restriction for participants.

The tour operators supply all necessary gear to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, including protective overalls, boots, gloves, and helmets for all participants.
