General Terms and Cancellation Policy

Another Iceland is a licensed travel agency operating under the approval of the Icelandic Tourist Board. We offer a curated selection of tours designed to meet the needs of Israeli travelers. We strive to provide the best value for money and help plan the perfect trip to Iceland.

Another Iceland offers a variety of travel packages and services (“products”) through its website (anothericeland.com). Since our general terms and conditions include legal obligations, we recommend reading them carefully. These terms form the basis upon which bookings are accepted. Purchasing any travel services from Another Iceland establishes a contractual agreement between the person making the booking and Another Iceland, signifying acceptance of these terms. Please ensure you carefully read and understand the conditions before making a booking.

Once your booking is confirmed, an email will be sent with the booking number and a list of purchased services. Please review all details carefully to ensure they match your request.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Self-Drive Tours (including accommodation + car rental):

  • Payment is made via Visa or MasterCard in euros (€).
  • A 20% deposit is required at booking; the remaining balance is due four weeks before the tour starts.
  • Cancellation fees:
    • From confirmation until 57 days before departure: 10% of the tour price.
    • 8-4 weeks before departure: 20% of the tour price.
    • 4-2 weeks before departure: 40% of the tour price.
    • 2-1 week before departure: 80% of the tour price.
    • 7 days or less before departure: 100% of the tour price.

Cancellations are counted excluding the arrival day, with weeks considered as seven (7) days. Changes to group bookings may result in price increases for remaining participants.

Group Tours with Guide:

  • Registration until 57 days before departure: €75 cancellation fee per traveler.
  • 56-43 days before departure: 50% of the total cost.
  • 42-29 days before departure: 60% of the total cost.
  • 28-15 days before departure: 80% of the total cost.
  • Less than 14 days before departure: 100% of the total cost.

Flight delays or cancellations are not covered by Another Iceland, and no compensation will be provided.

Motorhome Rentals:

  • Minimum age: 22 years, with a valid license held for at least two years. Maximum age: 75 years.
  • A 30% deposit is required at booking, with the remaining balance due six weeks before the trip starts. Special early-bird discounts require full upfront payment.
  • Cancellation fees:
    • 45+ days before pickup: €250.
    • 44-31 days before pickup: 30% of the rental cost.
    • 30-17 days before pickup: 60% of the rental cost.
    • 16 days or less before pickup or no-show: 100% of the rental cost.

Another Iceland acts as a facilitator between the renter and the vehicle supplier, with the supplier holding sole responsibility for fulfilling the rental agreement.

Trekking and Hiking Tours:

  • Payment is made in full at booking via Visa or MasterCard in euros (€).
  • Cancellation fees:
    • Up to 280 days before departure: 20% of the tour cost.
    • 59-29 days before departure: 50% of the tour cost.
    • Less than 29 days before departure: 75% of the tour cost.
    • Less than 15 days before departure or no-show: 100% of the tour cost.

Hotel Policies

  • Rooms are clean and comfortable but tend to be smaller and simpler compared to European or North American standards.
  • Check-in: after 2:00 PM; check-out: by 12:00 PM.
  • Room allocation is at the hotel’s discretion, and variations in room standards may occur.

Car Rental Terms

  • Minimum age: 20 years for standard vehicles; 23 years for large SUVs and vans.
  • Rentals include basic insurance (CDW) and additional protections such as SCDW, Gravel Protection, and Theft Protection.
  • Specific insurance options, such as reducing excess to zero or covering ash damage, are available at an extra cost.

Driving on unauthorized roads or fording rivers is not covered by any insurance.

Responsibility

Another Iceland is a travel agent and is not liable for loss, damage, accidents, illnesses, or schedule changes due to weather, volcanic activity, strikes, or other unforeseeable events beyond our control. Complaints should be directed to suppliers immediately for resolution or submitted to Another Iceland within 30 days after leaving Iceland.
